Description

Tachbrook is a house dating from the 17th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of coursed squared rubble with timber lintels, and has a stone slate roof, topped by two gable-end chimneys finished in brick. The house is two storeys high and has a three-window front. A half-glazed door, set within ironstone jambs, is located to the left of centre and is flanked by canted bays containing large paned sash windows. There are two first-floor sash windows and a small casement window to the left. Internally, the ground floor features stop-chamfered ceiling beams with run-out stops, and an inglenook fireplace with a 20th-century bressumer. A newel stair was removed around 1960.
