Description
The Manor House is an 18th-century house with 19th-century alterations, located on the north side of Church Street in Charlbury. It is constructed from coursed squared rubble with timber lintels and features a stone slate roof, along with one chimney finished in brick. The house has two storeys and an attic, with a symmetrical three-window range of sashes that include glazing bars. The entrance consists of a plank door with an overlight, sheltered by a small hood supported on consoles. There are two rough-cast dormers that contain 20th-century casements. The house has two end chimneys, and the right side elevation features two 18th-century mullioned and transomed windows, which have iron-framed casements and leaded lights. At the rear, there is a gable and a single-storey gabled wing that includes an attached outbuilding extension, which has horizontal sliding sashes beneath a semi-circular overlight. The interior has not been inspected.
