Description
Gothic House is an early 19th-century house located on Church Street in Charlbury. It is constructed from coursed squared rubble with ashlar dressings and features a slate roof, along with one stone and one brick chimney. The house has three storeys and a symmetrical three-window range. On either side of the entrance, there are two large bay windows, each containing one straight and two curved glazing bar sashes. The entrance features a six-panelled door, two of which are glazed, set within a simple moulded door-case that has a blocked fanlight with radial glazing bars. The first and second-floor windows are sashes with glazing bars, with the second-floor windows also having horns. The house is named after a later 19th-century Gothic-style gable-fronted wing on the left. The interior has not been inspected.
