Description

No. 71 on Church Street is a shop dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of painted brick and features a tile roof with a brick chimney stack. The building has three storeys and a two-window range, topped with a brick cornice. The entrances at either end have rubbed brick flat arches, with a plank door on the left and a 20th-century glazed door on the right. The windows have sills and rubbed brick flat arches; the ground floor includes a window with a 16-pane sash and a former bow window that has panelled pilasters, a frieze, a cornice, and a plate glass window. On the first floor, there is a 20th-century casement and a 16-pane sash, while the second floor features an 8-pane sash and a 20th-century casement. There is a rear gabled wing. The interior has not been inspected.
