Description

No. 183 on Main Street in Yaxley is a house and shop built in the early 19th century. It features painted brick construction and a Welsh slate roof with an end stack on the left side. The building has two storeys and is distinguished by sunk panelled pilasters with console brackets that support a common entablature, which includes a plain frieze and a projecting cornice above the doorway and shop window. The entrance has a glazed-panelled door with patterned glazing bars and a rectangular fanlight, while the shop window has pointed glazing bars and slightly projecting upper lights with rounded corners.
