Description

This is a mid-18th century house with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of red and buff brick, with a stone plinth and a partially concreted base. The roof is thatched to the front and of Roman tiles and pantiles to the rear, with brick end stacks. The house is arranged in an L-shape, with a rear wing to the left.

It is a single-storey building with an attic, and has a two-window front. The windows are horned sashes with margin glazing bars, set within narrowed openings. There are eyebrow dormers above the windows. A central part-glazed door is also set within a narrowed opening. A blocked window and gabled dormer are present to the rear, along with a three-light casement within a gabled dormer on the rear wing. A section of the rear wing continues, currently roofless, with a rear wall of coursed stone rubble.

Inside the main range, there are boxed beams incorporated, and two winder stairs. There's an open fireplace with a blocked hood, and a visible bressummer. The flooring consists of brick on the ground floor and wide boards in the attic. The roof is not visible. The rear range features a ceiling beam with ledged stops to the chamfers, and an open fireplace.
