Description
No. 50 on Main Street is a house that was formerly a school house, built in the late 19th century. It is constructed from yellow gault brick with ashlar dressings and features a 20th-century ridged tiled roof. The building has two storeys and displays two unequal gable facades. The gable parapets have stone coping and corbels, with the larger left-hand gable featuring a detailed apex and a quatrefoil design. There is a brick string course and a chamfered plinth.
Access to the doorway is via steps on the right side, leading to a boarded door that is shaped like a two-centre arch. To the left, there is a bay window with pointed glazing bars in the upper casement lights. The first floor has two windows, one with two lights and the other a single light, both featuring two-centred arches, moulded labels, and floral stops.
