Description

Manor Farmhouse is an early 18th-century building, originally an addition to a three-unit planned building that was demolished around 1958. 20th-century additions and alterations have also been made. The farmhouse is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a Collyweston stone slated roof. It is two storeys and attics, with a double pile plan. A 20th-century entrance is located in an open porch on the south side. Features include chamfered plinths, parapet gables, and brick end stacks to the rear, as well as an internal brick stack. The east gable walls have relieving arches over the hung sash windows, and there are blocked round-headed attic windows with relieving arches and a stone surround. Inside, there is an open string staircase with barley twist balusters and a moulded handrail, which may have been moved. Original 18th-century two-panelled doors are present, along with plastered attic floors.
