Description
This is a milepost located on Carlton Otley Old Road, likely dating from the 18th century. It is made of sandstone and is shaped like a mounting block, measuring approximately half a metre long and half a metre high. The west side features three steps. Inscriptions on the front and the right-hand side, which indicate place-names and distances, have been erased, but the phrase "To (?) (?) Miles" remains visible. There is also old graffiti on the top surface.
