NORTH ELMSALL HALL LANE SE41SE (south side) 9/44 Milepost in front of - Milestone House - II Milepost. Probably early C19. Sandstone and cast iron. Stone post of rectangular section (34 x 28 cm), and 80 cm high, with rounded top. Bolted to the face, a round-headed iron plate with raised lettering:- "LONDON" (round the circumference) 171 D 9 (D = Doncaster) W 11 (W = Wakefield)
