Description

This is a milepost located on the north side of Bramhope Otley Road, dating from the late 19th century. It is made of sandstone and features cast-iron facing plates. The milepost has a triangular shape and stands approximately 1 metre high, with a flat-faced semicircular head and chartered sides. The raised lettering on the milepost indicates the distances: "LONDON 192 1/4 MILES" and "LEEDS OTLEY 6 4½ MILES."
