Description
Cocker Hill Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse that has been altered in the 20th century. It is constructed from coursed squared gritstone and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and two bays, with the left bay set back. The entrance is located to the left of centre and has tie-stone jambs. There are 16-pane sash windows flanking the entrance and on the first floor, all set in plain stone surrounds. It is reputed to have a three-light first-floor window with plain stone mullions in the left bay, although this was not seen during the survey. The farmhouse has gable copings and stone end stacks, along with a 20th-century stone extension on the right. The interior was not inspected.
