Description

This milepost, located on Bramhope Pool Bank New Road, dates from the late 19th century. It is made of sandstone and features cast-iron facing plates. The milepost has a triangular shape and stands approximately 1 metre high. It has a flat-faced semicircular head and chamfered sides, with raised lettering that indicates distances to various locations: Dudley Hill, Killinghall, Harrogate Road, Bramhope, Bradford (9 miles), Harrogate (9½ miles), and Killing Hall (11½ miles).
