Description

The Hollies is a farmhouse, later converted into a house, dating from the mid to later 18th century. It is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble with quoins, and has a stone slate roof. The building follows a double-depth, two-unit plan. The exterior has two storeys and two bays, appearing almost symmetrical. A doorway with a plain surround is set slightly to the right of the centre. There are two two-light windows on each floor, all featuring flat-faced flush mullions and plain surrounds, although the glazing has been altered. Gable chimneys are present, and the right-hand gable has coping. The rear of the property and the interior have not been inspected. The building is listed as a good example of a modest farmhouse.
