Description

The Sighting Tower, built around 1845 for the construction of the Bramhope railway tunnel, is a Grade II listed structure associated with the Leeds-Thirsk Railway. It is made of coursed squared sandstone and has a tall cylindrical shape, approximately 2 metres in diameter. Near the top, there are four narrow vertical-rectangular openings, and the tower features a flat coping.
