Description

The building is a farmhouse, now a house, dating to the late 17th century, and subsequently altered. It is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble with quoins, and has a slate roof. The farmhouse consists of two units over two low storeys. There are two doorways near the centre, each with plain surrounds; the left doorway is older, while the one on the right has been altered into a window. The ground floor has two windows, the left of which is square, while the others are 19th-century insertions in a 17th-century style, with recessed chamfered mullions and raised plain surrounds. The left gable wall has a small square window at ground floor, with similar blocked windows on either side, and a large fixed window above. The rear elevation has three small windows at first floor level, the ground floor obscured by an added lean-to.

Inside, the left room features a large chamfered spine beam and chamfered joists with run-out stops. The right-hand room has a large stone fireplace with a chamfered surround and a slightly cambered lintel.
