Description

This is a mid-19th century milepost located on the west side of Otley Road in Killinghall. It features a cast-iron plate attached to a concrete block. The milepost is triangular in shape with a semicircular head, standing approximately 80 centimetres high. The inscriptions on the milepost include "DUDLEY HILL KILLINGHALL & HARROGATE ROAD KILLINGHALL" on the head, "KILLINGHALL I MILE" on the left face, and "BRADFORD 20 MILES" on the right face. The plate is secured to the concrete block with two square bolts through the head.
