Description

Spruisty Bridge is a 17th or 18th century packhorse bridge that spans Oak Beck. It is constructed of ashlar masonry and has modern concrete footings. The bridge features a slightly pointed arch and a plain parapet with terminal piers that have pyramidical caps. There are approach ramps with square-headed flood leats. The bridge is also a Scheduled Ancient Monument, although it was descheduled under the Monument Protection Programme on 11th August 2003.
