Description

Rose Cottage is a house dating from around 1800. It is built of coursed squared gritstone and has a graduated stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has two bays, with quoins at the corners. The central entrance features a six-panel door, where the top two panels are glazed, set within a flush doorcase. On either side of the door and on the first floor, there are 12-pane side-sliding sash windows with projecting sills and plain lintels. The cottage has shaped kneelers, gable copings, and banded stacks at the ends. The interior has not been inspected during the resurvey.
