Description
This is a terrace of three cottages, likely built in the late 18th century. They are constructed from coursed squared gritstone and feature a graduated stone slate roof. The two cottages on the right, Holly Cottage and Pear Tree Cottage, are two stories tall with two bays, while an additional one-bay cottage, Low Hall Cottage, is added to the left. The main range has quoins, and the paired cottages have a central door—one is a four-panel door on the left and the other is a 20th-century board door on the right—flanked by 6-pane side-sliding sash windows, all set in plain stone surrounds. The right side has a shaped kneeler and gable coping, with banded stacks on the left and right, and a large shared stack in the center. Low Hall Cottage, on the left, features a six-panel part-glazed door on the right, with sash windows and surrounds similar to the main range. It also has a shaped kneeler, gable coping, and a banded end stack on the left. The cottages are included for their group value.
