PANNAL OTLEY ROAD (west side) Milepost near Shawfield Head

Milepost. Mid C19. Cast-iron face, gritstone support. Triangular in section with semicircular head, approximately 80 centimetres high. Inscriptions: head- "DUDLEY HILL KILLINGHALL & HARROGATE ROAD PANNAL"; left face - "KILLINGHALL 4 MILES"; right face - "BRADFORD 16 MILES". The iron plate is fastened to the support with 2 round-headed bolts through the head.
