Description
Moor Park Stables is a former stable and office building constructed in 1859 by Andrews and Delauney for James Bray. The building is made of coursed squared gritstone and features a grey slate roof. It stands two storeys high and has seven bays, with the central three bays projecting and topped by a triangular pediment. The ground floor has round-arched windows, with the window in bay three converted into a door. The original windows are four-pane sashes with fanlights above, while the central three windows are set within a blind arcade that features a horse's head on the central keystone. The first floor has two-pane sash windows, and there is a projecting band at first-floor level along with a modillioned eaves cornice. The pediment has a blind oculus and the roof is hipped, featuring a central clock tower topped with an ogee-roofed cupola and end stacks.
