Description

Shaw Green Farmhouse is a house dated 1732. It is constructed of coursed squared gritstone with a purple slate roof featuring two stone eaves courses. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays, following a lobby-entry plan. A 20th-century glazed door is positioned between the first and second bays, featuring chamfered quoined jambs and a large lintel inscribed with the letter "N". The windows are recessed chamfered mullion windows, marked T A 1732, with four lights throughout. The mullions have been removed from the ground floor window on the left-hand side. The property has bulbous kneelers, gable copings, and a corniced stack opposite the entrance and on the far right. The interior was not inspected during a resurvey.
