Description

This is a 19th-century milepost located on Leathley Lane in Leathley. It is made of cast iron and gritstone, featuring a triangular shape with a rounded head and standing approximately 80 centimetres tall. The inscriptions on the milepost include "Dudleyhill Killinghall and Harrogate Road Leathley" on the head, "Killinghall 8½ miles" on the left face, and "Bradford 12 miles" on the right face. The iron plate is secured to the gritstone support with two bolts.
