Description

This is a milepost located on Otley Road in Bramhope, dating from the late 19th century. It is made of sandstone and features cast-iron facing plates. The milepost is triangular in shape and stands approximately one metre high. It has a flat-faced semicircular head and chamfered sides, with raised lettering that indicates the distances to London (194¼ miles), Leeds (8 miles), and Otley (2½ miles).
