Description
The Cottage and Park View is a farmhouse and attached cottage, likely built around 1700, with a 19th-century addition on the left end that is not of special interest. The building is constructed of pebble-dashed magnesian limestone and features a modern pantiled roof. It has a shallow double depth plan, with the cottage on the left originally being a single unit, while the farmhouse consists of two units.
The structure is two storeys high, with each part having a plain doorway in the centre. The cottage has one window on each floor to the left, while the farmhouse has one window on each floor of the first bay and one window at the first floor of the second bay. All these windows are small 2-light side sliding sashes with glazing bars. The roof has raised coping at the junction and coupled chimneys at the apex.
Inside, there are beams with small chamfers and stops, as well as exposed joists. The farmhouse has a cellar beneath the second unit and a blocked window at the first floor of this end. An attached reading room at the right-hand end is not included in this listing.
