Description

This milepost, dating from the mid-18th century, is made of sandstone and stands one metre high with a rounded top. The north side is inscribed with the words "To . . . . Miles," while the south side features the Roman numeral "IIIiI." On the east side, it indicates distances to Todcaster and Otley, both 7 miles away.
