Description

This is a milepost located 200 yards east of the junction with Denby Lane, dating from the late 19th century. It features a triangular cast iron front with a rounded top mounted on a stone post. The inscriptions on the milepost indicate distances to Barnsley and Shepley Road, Denby, Denby Dale, Cawthorne, Holmfirth, and Barnsley.
