Description
Far Broad Oak Farmhouse is a mid 18th-century farmhouse with an L-shaped plan, constructed from squared, coursed rubble and topped with a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and features a symmetrical facade with three bays and a wing to the rear left. Notable architectural details include a chamfered plinth, quoins, and a central doorway with a chamfered surround. On both the left and right sides of the facade, there are three-light, flat-faced recessed mullion windows on the ground floor, and a similar two-light window in the center of the first floor. A band runs between the floors, and the gable ends have square-cut copings on moulded kneelers. The right gable is adorned with a well-crafted ashlar stack that has a moulded cornice. At the rear, there are three- and two-light windows similar to those at the front. The wing on the right features a good entrance and two additional ashlar stacks that match the style of the front.
