Description
Carr Head Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse constructed of thinly-coursed rubble with a stone slate roof. It stands two storeys tall and features a two-room plan with a continuous rear outshut. The building has two bays and is accented by quoins. The ground floor includes 4-light double-chamfered windows, which are set under a dripmould, while the first-floor window to the right has a hoodmould. There is a tiny ornamental light in the centre of the first floor. The gable copings are hollow-chamfered and sit on moulded kneelers to the right, although the gable finial is missing. A central 19th-century ornamental brick chimney stack is present.
At the rear, there are four 2-light windows on the ground floor, along with one 2-light window and two single lights on the first floor. The right side features an entrance within a 20th-century porch and a 3-light window on the ground floor, with one 3-light and one 2-light window on the first floor. An addition to the left gable is not included in this listing. The interior has not been inspected.
