Description
Far Westhorpe Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse constructed from coursed, squared rubble with rendered sides and rear. It features a concrete tile roof and stands two storeys tall, with a continuous single-storey rear outshut. The building has three bays and is accented by quoins.
The near-central original door, which is partially blocked, has a chamfered surround and a deep, shaped lintel. On either side of the door, there is a 4-light double-chamfered window on both floors, each retaining only the central mullion. A continuous hoodmould runs over the ground-floor windows and door. To the left, there is an inserted 19th-century doorway with plain surrounds, and above the central door, there is a 19th-century window that matches the style of the others. The gable copings are hollow-chamfered and sit on moulded kneelers.
At the rear, the outshut features two 2-light double-chamfered windows, while a 20th-century single-storey addition is present but is not of special interest. Inside, there is an arched, chamfered fireplace in the right room.
