Description
This milestone, located approximately 300 yards east of the junction with Barnsley Road, dates from the late 19th century. It features a cast iron flat front with a rounded top, mounted on a stone post. The inscription reads: "WAKEFIELD & DENBY DALE ROAD DENBY DALE WAKEFIELD 11 MILES DENBY DALE 1 MILE."
