Description
Manor Farm is a farmhouse, now divided, dated 1694. It is constructed from thinly coursed dry walled rubble with quoins and features a stone slate roof that is covered in bitumen. The building has an L-plan due to a gabled wing that projects at the rear. It is two storeys high.
The main entrance to the larger section (No. 37) has a quoined surround and a deep, arched lintel inscribed with 'JOSEPH MOSLEY 1694', topped with a moulded hood. All windows are double chamfered. On the left side, there is a large 3-light window with a hood mould featuring diamond stops, and an altered window above it that lacks mullions and has a new lintel. To the right, there is a 3-light window on the ground floor and a 6-light window with a king mullion on the first floor. Further right, there is another arched entrance and a 2-light window on each floor. The gabled wing on the far left has a 3-light window on each floor, although the ground floor window is blocked. The first-floor window has a hood mould with diamond stops, while the ground floor features whorled circular stops. In the gable apex, there is a blocked 3-tier dovecote with saw-tooth corbelling.
The left side elevation (No. 35) has a later entrance on the left, with a 5-light and a 4-light window on the ground floor, each with a hood mould. There are two 4-light windows on the first floor, with each window retaining only one mullion. There is also an outshut at the rear of the main range.
