Milepost. Mid to late C19. Cast-iron triangular front, on stone post with rounded top. The top part of the cast-iron front is missing. Raised letters read:

DENBY WAKEFIELD DALE 6 MILES 4½ MILES

The post marks the route of the Wakefield and Denby Dale turnpike road of 1825.
