Description
The North Lodge at Bretton Park is a lodge built possibly between 1811 and 1814 by Jeffry Wyatt for Colonel Thomas Richard and Diana Beaumont. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has a square plan and is a single storey high, with three bay elevations that are framed and separated by panelled pilaster strips. The entrance is located in a moulded architrave on the right return at the right end, as well as in the centre of the left return. The windows are 12-pane sashes, and there is a small 20th-century porch addition on the left return. Each bay has a sunk panel above the opening. There are 20th-century additions to the rear that are not of special interest. The roof is pyramidal with deep oversailing eaves and features a central ashlar stack.
