SE21SE WEST BRETTON HUDDERSFIELD ROAD (east side)

8/71 No. 32 and attached 22.11.66 workshop range (formerly listed with House and attached farm building north of and on opposite side of road to Bretton Lodge).

GV II

House and attached workshop range. Early C19. Coursed squared stone with quoins. Stone slate roof. A continuous range with continuous rear outshut. Two storeys. Workshop end: elliptical-arched quoined cart-entry to left. Two ground-floor windows to right and one window to 1st floor, in plain surrounds, with horizontal-sliding sashes. Above the window to the right is a plaque with relief carvings of a blacksmith's tools, pincers, hammer etc. The house part to the right has 2 bays of similar windows with C20 casements (6-pane sash to ground floor right), and a smaller central 1st-floor window. Two ridge stacks. Mainly altered openings to rear elevation.
