Description

No. 1 and the attached workshop in Leighton Bromswold date from the early 19th century. The house is timber-framed with roughcast rendering and a brick plinth, topped with a plain tiled roof. It features gable end stacks, one of which has been enlarged on the left side. The building has two storeys, with a central four-panelled door that has a moulded wooden architrave and a cornice hood supported by shaped brackets. There are two horizontal sliding sash windows on the ground floor and two smaller ones on the first floor. The workshop, located to the left, is also timber-framed but weatherboarded, with a ridge pantiled roof. It has two storeys, double boarded doors on the left, and two windows for the workshop.
