Description

The Green Man is a public house, dating to the 17th century, with later alterations and a 19th-century addition. It is constructed with a timber frame, partly encased in roughcast render and brick, which has been painted. A red brick stack is visible on the left-hand side, featuring a stone panel, with further stacks at the rear. The roof is covered with plain tiles. The building comprises a single-storey and attic main range with two differing roof heights, and a two-storey cross wing to the right. A panelled door is protected by a cornice hood, and there are three ground-floor casement windows of varying sizes. Three gabled dormer windows with casements are visible in the roof. The cross wing features one ground-floor casement window and one twelve-paned sash window, both with segmental brick arches.
