Description
Braggs Farmhouse is a house that dates from the 17th century or early 18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. The building features rendered walls and quoins, topped with a stone slate roof that has gable copings on moulded kneelers. It is two storeys high. The central doorway belongs to No. 8, and to the left of this doorway is a 4-light double chamfered window, although two of its mullions have been removed. There is part of a hood mould above this window. To the right, there is a small recent extension. On the first floor, there are two single light 19th-century windows. The left gable is partly obscured by an adjoining outbuilding and includes a part-blocked doorway with a deep chamfered lintel, as well as a tiny chamfered fire-window on the first floor. The right gable, which faces the road, has a 4-light double chamfered window on the ground floor, again with two mullions removed, and a hood mould above it that has a square stop at the right end only. On the first floor, there is a former 4-light double chamfered window that has been altered with a recent head and two mullions, along with the remains of a hood mould.
