Description
A pair of mid-19th century weavers' houses, located in Town End, Golcar. The houses are built of hammer-dressed stone with a pitched stone slate roof and a coped south gable. Stone brackets support the gutter. The east elevation has, on the ground floor, one four-light stone mullioned window and one three-light stone mullioned window. There are two entrances with stone surrounds. The first floor has two six-light stone mullioned windows. The west elevation has, on the ground floor, two three-light stone mullioned windows. A single-storey extension is attached to the right, and the first floor has two six-light stone mullioned windows. The group value of this building lies in its contribution to the character of the local area.
