Description

This is a mid-19th century weavers’ house in Handel Street, Golcar. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone, with a pitched stone slate roof and stone brackets supporting a coped gable. The south elevation has three storeys. On the ground floor is a blocked four-light stone mullioned window with a prominent sill, alongside the entrance. The first floor has an eight-light stone mullioned window, with two lights blocked. The second floor features an eight-light stone mullioned window. A continuous sill band runs along the first and second floors.
