305, Glossop Road

No. 305 Glossop Road is a house that has been converted into offices. It was built around 1840 and has undergone alterations and additions in the mid-19th century and the 20th century. The building features ashlar, coursed squared stone, and brick, topped with hipped and gabled slate roofs, and has brick stacks at the single gable and single rear wall.

The structure has a plinth, panelled angle pilasters, a first-floor band, and deep wooden eaves. It is two storeys high and has a three-window range. The windows are 12-pane sashes with eared and shouldered architraves, while the ground floor windows are designed in an Egyptian style. The slightly projecting centre of the building has a single window above a Doric portico, which includes a cornice and a 20th-century panelled double door with an overlight.

On the right side of the building, there are two 20th-century windows on each floor and a single-storey plus basement hipped addition. The left side features two 20th-century windows on each floor and, to the left, a set-back three-storey addition with a pilastered doorcase. There are brick rear wings. The interior has not been inspected.
