Description

No. 27 Wilkinson Street is a house that has been converted into offices, built around 1840 with various alterations in the late 19th century and the early and late 20th century. The building is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and features a hipped slate roof with a single ridge stack. It has a plinth, a first-floor band, and eaves bands. The house is two storeys high and has three bays, with the outer bays projecting. The front has a three-window range of plain sashes. There is a small central portico supported by Doric columns and topped with a cornice, which contains a half-glazed door and an overlight. On either side of the portico, there are late 20th-century casement windows with brick flat arches. The left side of the building has two projecting bays with a window on each floor. The right side features two plain sashes and a 19th-century canted bay window, which is flanked on the right by an early 20th-century square wooden bay window. The interior has not been inspected.
