Description
33 and 35 Wilkinson Street are three houses, now used as offices, built around 1845 with some alterations in the late 20th century. The buildings are constructed of brick, featuring late 20th century roughcast and stucco dressings, and have hipped and gabled roofs covered with slate and artificial slate. They sit on an ashlar plinth and are two storeys high with six windows across the front and three down the sides.
The windows are primarily 12-pane sashes with plain projecting surrounds. On the Wilkinson Street side, there are two windows on a sill band in the center, and below them are two pairs of round-arched glazing bar casements with pilasters. Flanking this central section are slightly projecting entrance bays, each with a single window above and a stucco doorcase below. The doorcase features Ionic columns and an entablature, a moulded round-arched doorway, a panelled double door, and a fanlight. Further along, there is a single window on each floor, with the lower ones having moulded surrounds.
The right side of the building, facing Filey Street, has a round-arched window flanked by single 12-pane sashes. Below this window is a doorcase with Doric pilasters and a cornice, a six-panel door with an overlight, and flanking single 12-pane sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
