Description
28 and 30 Wilkinson Street are two houses that have been converted into offices. They were built around 1850 and have undergone some additions and alterations in the late 19th and 20th centuries. The buildings are constructed of brick with painted stone dressings and feature a hipped slate roof with two ridge stacks.
The exterior includes a plinth, a first floor band, and moulded wooden modillion eaves. Brick pilasters are located on either side of the projecting center and at the corners. The houses are two stories tall and have a three-window arrangement of plain sashes. The central window has a moulded architrave and cornice, while the outer windows have brick flat arches.
There is a central canted wooden bay window with a dentilled cornice, flanked by single plain sashes with flat arches. The right side of the building features a set-back two-story porch with a wooden pediment on brackets and a half-glazed door with sidelights. The left side has a set-back lean-to two-story porch with a plain sash window and, below it, a beaded six-panel door in a plain surround. The interior has not been inspected.
