Description
No. 38 Wilkinson Street is a house, now used as offices, built around 1850 with alterations made in the mid-20th century. The building is constructed of brick, which is rendered and colorwashed, and features stone dressings. It has a hipped slate roof with a single ridge and two stacks on the side walls. The exterior includes a plinth, angle pilasters, moulded eaves, and a blocking course, with a projecting center. The house is two storeys high and has a three-window range of 12-pane sashes, with the central window having a moulded surround. The central doorcase is adorned with panelled pilasters and a pediment, featuring a fielded six-panel door and a geometrical overlight. On either side of the door, there is a single plain sash window. Inside, there is a cantilever dogleg wooden stair with stick balusters and a ramped scrolled handrail.
