Description
287 and 289 Glossop Road are two houses that have been converted into offices. They were built around 1825 and have been restored with some additions made in the late 20th century. The exterior is finished in colourwashed stucco and features a hipped slate roof with two ridge stacks and a single side wall stack, all of which are rendered. The building has a plinth, a first-floor band, and modillion wooden eaves. It stands three storeys high and has a six-window range of 12-pane sash windows. Above these are six 9-pane sash windows, and below are five 15-pane sashes. To the left, there is a stucco doorcase with Doric columns and a cornice, which frames a fielded six-panel door with an overlight. To the right, there is a single-storey flat-roofed addition that features a similar doorcase. The interior has not been inspected.
