Description
No. 356 Glossop Road is a house that has been converted into consulting rooms. It was built around 1845 and has undergone alterations in the mid-20th century, with restoration taking place in the late 20th century. The building is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and features a hipped slate roof, which has a single ridge and a single side wall stack.
The exterior includes a plinth, chamfered quoins, a first-floor band, and modillion wood eaves. It stands three storeys high and has a three-window range of plain sashes, which are topped with brick flat arches featuring double keystones. Above this, there are three smaller sashes and a small square window positioned between the two on the right.
The central entrance has a wooden doorcase with steps, plain pilasters, and a cornice, leading to a moulded four-panel door with an overlight. On either side of the entrance, there are plain sashes with brick flat arches, double keystones, and panelled stone aprons. The left side of the building has a single blank space on each floor to the right, with bracketed sills and keystones. On the ground floor to the left, there is a 12-pane sash window. The interior has not been inspected.
