Description
Lloyds Bank is a building that was originally two houses, constructed around 1840 and now serving as a bank and offices. The structure is made of brick with stone dressings and features a slate roof, complete with two gable stacks and two party wall stacks. Notable architectural elements include a plinth, quoins, a first-floor band, and modillion wooden eaves. The building stands three storeys high and has a four-window range of plain sashes, which are topped with brick flat arches and keystones. Above this, there are four slightly smaller sashes. On the ground floor, there are two large tripartite sashes with moulded stone surrounds, flanked by renewed wooden doorcases that feature panelled pilasters and cornices, along with moulded four-panel doors and overlights. The interior has not been inspected. The building was restored in the late 20th century.
