Description
277 and 279 Glossop Road are two houses that have been converted into offices. They were built around 1830, with some additions made in the mid-19th century. The buildings are constructed of brick with stone details and feature a slate roof that has a single ridge and two gable stacks. There is a plinth, a band at the first floor, and wooden eaves with modillion brackets. The structures rise three storeys and have a three-window range of 12-pane sash windows with flat arches. Above these, there are three 6-pane sash windows. The central entrance has a doorcase with steps, plain pilasters, and a cornice, featuring a 20th-century panelled door and an overlight. On either side of the entrance, there is a 12-pane sash window. The left side of the building has a single-storey porch with a restored stone doorcase and a moulded 6-panel door. The right side has a single window on the upper floors, with the first-floor window featuring a railing, and below it, there is a half-glazed door. The interior has not been inspected.
